Good for first-time crypto

This was my first time buying crypto and I was looking for the best deal. I found a new user bonus when I signed up, which was a nice surprise. The P2P Bitcoin Trading was easy enough, and I felt like I got good value for what I paid. Saved a bit on fees, which always helps when you're just starting out.

Decent, but a small delay

I used LocalCoinSwap for P2P Ethereum Trading with PayPal. The selection of sellers was good, and the escrow system made me feel secure. Everything worked as expected, but the trade took a little longer than I hoped, about an hour and a half, because the seller was slow to confirm. Still, I got my ETH, and the fees were reasonable. Could be a bit faster sometimes.

Consistent service for stablecoins

I've used LocalCoinSwap a few times now, mainly for stablecoin trading like USDC and DAI. This last time, I did a P2P USDC trade, and it was just as reliable as my previous experiences. The platform is consistent, and I always find good offers. No surprises, which is what I look for in these kinds of platforms. It's why I keep coming back.

Detailed experience: buying Bitcoin via bank transfer

I decided to buy Bitcoin using a bank transfer through LocalCoinSwap. The process started with browsing offers on their P2P marketplace. I specifically looked for sellers accepting bank transfers and found one with good reviews. Initiating the trade was simple; I entered the amount and opened the trade. Communication with the seller was through their chat feature, which worked well. I made the bank transfer from my online banking, took about 10 minutes. Once I uploaded proof of payment, the seller confirmed receiving the funds, and the Bitcoin was released from escrow to my LocalCoinSwap wallet. The escrow protection service definitely made me feel more secure throughout the whole transaction. The entire process, from finding an offer to having the Bitcoin in my wallet, took around 45 minutes. The trading fees were transparent and clearly displayed. I also checked out their non-custodial wallet option, which is a good feature for those who want more control over their assets. Overall, a smooth and secure experience.

Quick USDT trade

Needed some USDT fast. Used the P2P USDT Trading. Found a seller and completed the trade quickly. No KYC needed was a big plus. Good service overall.

Easy to use for Bitcoin

I used LocalCoinSwap to buy some Bitcoin with a bank transfer. It was pretty straightforward, didn't have any major issues. Found a good seller quickly, and the whole trade went through in about 30 minutes. Felt good to finally get some crypto without jumping through a bunch of hoops.

Can I trade with cash in person on LocalCoinSwap? Or is it all online bank transfers?

M Matt H. 1 week ago
Yes, cash in person is an option! You'll see offers for it sometimes. Just make sure you follow all the safety guidelines they recommend, like meeting in public places.

It's available, but I'd be super cautious with those. Always meet somewhere safe and well-lit, maybe with a friend. The platform facilitates it, but the actual exchange is on you to be safe.

Hey, I'm new to this whole crypto thing. Is LocalCoinSwap good for someone just starting out, or is it more for experienced traders?

R Robert 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it's pretty good for beginners. The P2P thing means you're dealing directly with people, but they have escrow protection so your funds are safe until the trade is done. I started there, it was fine.

I think it's okay. The interface is simple enough, but you really gotta read the trade terms from each seller/buyer. Some can be a bit picky with payment methods or verification, even though the platform itself doesn't demand KYC for everyone.

I saw something about an affiliate program. How does that work, like if I refer friends do I get anything?

H Hannah P. 3 weeks ago
Yep, definitely. You get a percentage of the trading fees from anyone you refer. It's a pretty standard affiliate setup, good for passive income if you have a lot of friends interested in crypto.

You basically get a commission. When someone signs up using your unique link and makes trades, a portion of their fees gets paid to you. The more they trade, the more you earn. It's a decent way to earn some extra crypto without much effort beyond the initial referral.

Is LocalCoinSwap legit or is it one of those sketchy sites? Compared to like, Paxful, how does it stack up?

J Jacob Sanchez 1 month ago
It's legit. I've been using it for a while now without issues. It's similar to Paxful in that it's P2P, but I actually prefer LCS's interface a bit more. And the non-KYC thing is a big plus for many.

They're a solid platform. The escrow system is good, and you can always dispute if something goes wrong. Compared to Paxful, it feels a bit less crowded maybe, and generally has a good reputation. Both do the job though.

Thinking of buying some USDT. Does this site support PayPal? Some exchanges make it super difficult.

P Paul Jones 2 weeks ago
Yep, you can definitely use PayPal. Just filter for offers that accept it. Might have slightly higher fees or less favorable rates than a bank transfer, but it's there.

B Brittany Lewis 2 weeks ago
I've used PayPal on there before. Just be aware that some sellers might ask for more verification if you're using PayPal, just to prevent chargebacks. It's not a site rule, more like individual seller preference.
